    Education in First 100 Days?

Susan Page of USA Today puts forth a list of "First 100 Days" initiatives for the next Administration, and education is nowhere to be found.

Is she on target? Or did she overlook something?

Keep in mind that the Clinton Administration made education a key part of his economic initiatives (the economy is, of course, all over Page’s  list) - to good effect - early in his Administration on the heels of the Bush 41 recession and passed at least 5 key education bills in his first two years.

Also keep in mind that although Obama, if elected, would come in during much more dire economic times, he put education on the list of his top 3 issues in the last Presidential debate.

McCain has barely talked about education, so what role it would play in his Administration, especially early on, is a big unknown.

Should start to get interesting in about three weeks.

    Stay tuned.
